Since 2005, over 1.5 million babies have been born in Canada. Ontario takes the cake with between 130,000 and 145,000 births each year (which is at least 50,000 more babies than the runner-up, Quebec). There are rumours regarding the most popular birth month (some say nine months post-Valentine’s Day, while others swear it’s nine months after New Year’s Eve), so we sat down for a very important date with Stats Canada.
The real answer? Neither. According to our very unscientific (but totally reliable) research, on average, most babies are born in August (but not by a lot!). July and September are always in a close second or third (depending on the year) while February is always dead last.
